Ecotourism

Are you travelling anywhere this summer?  What affect will that have on our planet?  Read the following article:  The world’s best green vacations.  Why can travelling negatively affect habitats or the Earth?  What is ecotourism?  Why is ecotourism important?  What can you do?

  1. It negatively affects the Earth's habitats because vacations usually create a lot of carbon and airfare is not good. Ecotourism is responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well being of local people. Also it can get you active and see the nature your vacationing in. It is important to ecotourism because it will reduce carbon and reduce the amount of money you pay.

  2. When we travel around, it creates fossil fuels that pollute our air. And when we pollute our air, the green house gas effect becomes increasingly more important. The trip ideas that the link informed us about shows that we can go to certain resorts in Indonesia and other places that are respectful of the nature and living organisms around them. It's a little pricey but you're not just paying for a nice vacation, but you're paying for one that's greener and is a smarter choice.

  3. Summer is upon us and many people are looking for vacations. There are some very eco friendly vacations you can go on. Ectourism tries to minimize the negative impact of traveling and maximize the positive aspect of traveling. The three key points to making a eco friendly vacation is to chose locations that respect local wildlife and focus on facilities that follow eco friendly rules. Some vacations you can go on are ones in Alaska, Indonesia, and the Channel Islands.

  4. Although traveling is a good source of culture and a nice way to see the world, traveling can also have negative impacts on the environment around it. For example, travel by plane is a big source of pollution. The tourists who travel may also not be aware of any delicate situations that the habitat is in, and may do things that harm it. Ecotourism is responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment. It is often focused on the outdoors. Ecotourism is based on not only having less of a negative impact on the environment and its surrounding people and animals, but also for tourists to get the most out of their experience.

  5. Traveling negatively affects habitats and/or the earth by emitting carbon into the atmosphere. Ecotourism, though, is a positive change in travelling both for the environment and yourself. Ecotourism is when you go on trips/vacations minimizing or not having a carbon footprint. It's important to be an ecotourist because for one, you can lower carbon emissions, and two, they help yourself economically. One way you can become an ecotourist is to find ways of transportation that will be light on carbon emissions and staying at a place with local employees and low energy using appliances in the living quarters.

  6. Travelling can have various negative effects on the Earth and habitats. For example, the plane trips and certain activities on your vacation can contribute to pollution, etc. A new idea called ecotourism is being introduced which helps minimize our effects on the environment. It is responsible travel to natural areas that conserves the environment and improves the well being of local people. Ayako Ezaki of the Ecotourism Society claims that “Ecotourism tries not only to minimize the negative impact of travel but to maximize the positive impact.” Ecotourism has become popular within the years, with a revenue of $470 billion a year.

  7. Traveling and vacations often harm the environment by letting more gases into the atmosphere. When it comes to travel, you travel a lot and that causes a lot of carbon dioxide into the air. Traveling isn't even half of the troubles. Hotels and resorts also contribute a great amount to global warming. Now there are new ecotourism trips which help cause less pollution or a very low amount. Ecotourism trips can be both low cost or high cost. Most people chose low cost trips and stay closer to home. These ecotourism trips are expected to rise up to 25% in the upcoming years.
